Boot Scootin’ Boogie…

BOOT SCOOTIN’ BOOGIE…

One of Joshua and my favorite things to do was put on a pair of good ol’ blue jeans, boots and head out to a country “honky tonk” — where we drank beer and listened to amazing music. I taught Joshua to line dance and he taught me to two step, I can’t recall the amount of giggles and smiles that came from us, teaching one another and just enjoying ourselves.

On one of our adventures in Dallas, we went to Billy Bob’s. I can’t remember who was playing that night… But I do remember sitting there looking at the man I fell so madly in love with, thinking to myself, “wow, how lucky am I?”

As I was sitting there thinking that to myself and looking at Joshua… Joshua pulled me closely in to him and said in my ear, “I don’t care who you are or how much you had to drink… Anyone looking at you right now can tell how in love you are with me at this moment.” I didn’t know what to say, but “I love you.” All he did was smile, kissed me and said, “I want to wake up to that look every morning.”

So now, every time I put my boots on… All I can do is think of Joshua, his smile and how he stole my heart.
